From the Company that Brings You Catholic Church Supplies, Here are a Few Ways to Make Christmas More Meaningful

Everybody loves this time of year, it is magical for children and adults alike, spending your days shopping and your nights sipping hot tea and watching holiday movies. But more than anything, we desire to make the holiday season more meaningful, we yearn to bring Jesus to the center of our focus. After all, you don’t see or hear about Him in schools or in the multitude of shopping ads. From the company that brings you Catholic church supplies, here are a few ways to make Christmas more meaningful.
Arrange a nativity scene as the focal point of your Christmas decor, make sure it is in a prominent location where everybody can see it each and every day. On Christmas morning, wrap and hide the baby Jesus, then let your children play a little game of hide-and-seek. The opening of the other gifts only happens after Jesus is found, unwrapped and placed back in His manger.
Have your family participate in Advent. Light an Advent wreath each of the days leading up to Christmas. Include a daily devotional and a conversation that will lead to a heartfelt discussion.
One of our favorite ideas is to bake a birthday cake for Jesus, with lighted candles included. This is a great idea for younger children. You can also hang a stocking for Jesus and fill it with notes just for Him.
Take your kids shopping for a charity or organization in need of certain donations. Your kids will learn the importance of helping others.
Following these ideas is only the beginning, there is really so much you can do to help keep Christ in Christmas.
