Beautifully Sculpted Four Evangelists

The sculptural detailing features representations associated with the Four Evangelists, who hold a central place in the Church's proclamation of Sacred Scripture.

Each Evangelist is traditionally represented by a distinctive symbol:

• St. Matthew – The Winged Man or Angel: Representing Christ's humanity and Incarnation.

• St. Mark – The Winged Lion: Symbolizing strength, courage, and the proclamation of Christ's kingship.

• St. Luke – The Winged Ox: Associated with sacrifice and Christ's priestly ministry.

• St. John – The Eagle: Representing the soaring spiritual vision of his Gospel.

Together, these symbols create a meaningful expression of the four Gospels and their essential role in Catholic worship.

Elegant Travertine Stone Base

The ambo features a travertine stone base, offering the natural beauty and classic appearance of this traditional architectural material.

Travertine is prized for its warm, earthy tones and distinctive natural texture, making it an attractive choice for Catholic church furnishings.

The combination of natural stone and religious sculpture gives this ambo a dignified appearance that complements traditional and classically inspired sanctuaries.

A Sacred Place for the Proclamation of God's Word

The ambo is one of the principal liturgical furnishings of the Catholic church sanctuary.

During Holy Mass, the readings from Sacred Scripture, the Responsorial Psalm, and the Gospel are ordinarily proclaimed from the ambo.

This Four Evangelists Catholic Ambo celebrates the importance of the Gospel through its beautiful religious artwork while providing a distinguished location for the Liturgy of the Word.
